The Kranzler Eck on the corner of Ku’damm and Joachimsthaler Straße is about to undergo a comprehensive redesign. According to plans by the New York architectural firm HWKN, the building ensemble is to be opened towards the intersection. In the future, the balconies will be open to the public again. In addition, the roof areas should be used.
“Planning and the approval process for the realignment of the building are currently underway,” said a Kranzler Eck spokeswoman. The construction work is scheduled to be completed in 2026. Until then, interim use with events and collaborations under the name “KranzlerX!” is planned.
