HWKN Participates In Local Workforce Growth

June 25, 2021

Over the past 6 years, HWKN Architecture participated in an after-school architecture club at Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design (WHSAD) for students who are pursuing a career in building design and where members can graduate with a certification in Computer Aided Design (CAD). Workshops included students discussing and learning from architects, engineers, zoning lawyers, city planners, and many others about real world application of CAD in the development space.

From early February on, the second phase of the club’s program, the Design Competition was launched. HWKN Architecture is proud to have contributed and supported neighborhood-based workforce development and economic recovery in our communities.

Matthias Hollwich states “HWKN Architecture remains dedicated to further mentoring and teaching in neighborhoods that often go unreached. We hope to engage in more meaningful relationships while mentoring future planners who will make a difference in their community and the world at large.”
