HWKN is proud to announce that after 8 years of planning and 2 years of construction, Journal Squared’s newest tower opens to the public this month, with occupancy slated for 1 April.

The second of three development phases includes 704 units, incorporating micro-studios, studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units spread across 68 floors. An additional 70,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor social amenities complement the residential skyscraper. A third and final tower will top out at 70 stories and be the highest residential building in New Jersey. Completion is expected in 2023, bringing the total development to 1840 units over 2.3 million square feet.

Founding principal of HWKN Matthias Hollwich  “It is exciting to see that 8 years after workshopping 100 different designs with the team, the choice of timeless design and social activated base is as relevant today as it was then.”
