ANIMALation is a one-off lighting installation built for the largest annual underground party in New York City. Inspired by the long-legged silhouette of a spider, ANIMALation rises twenty five feet above ground and transforms the 12,000sf dance floor into an otherworldly industrial scene.
Its movable legs, constructed from standard lighting trusses, rotate rhythmically throughout the night. Automated lights and projected motion graphics light the spectacle below from constantly shifting angles.
