Hi. I am Wendy.

Wendy won the prestigious MoMA PS1 Young Architects Program in 2012 – an annual competition that gives emerging architects the opportunity to build an installation in Long Island City, Queens. Wendy cleans the air with a skin that is capable of taking the equivalent of 260 cars off the road. With all that clean air, Wendy’s spiky arms reach out with micro-programs like blasts of cool air, music, water cannons and mists to create social zones throughout the courtyard. But it is Wendy’s personality that was the biggest hit. She ended up being bought and installed in Abu Dhabi for two weeks – and might yet have another life!
