Tiny Maximalism

Max was a finalist in the adAPT NYC competition for micro-apartments. The design combines a tightly packed base of efficient and flexible apartments with a crown of amenities for all inhabitants to enjoy. Max’s massing is made up of three major pieces. A basement lobby connects to a ground floor retail level. Above that is an elegant, nine-story residential component clad in black brick that houses fifty-six 250sf apartments. Above them is a hat that is lushly planted and hosts a panoply of leisure amenities. The apartments are small, but the living is rich.
