At Home on the High Line

Surgical design maneuvers revitalized this 1990s loft conversion directly facing the High Line. Two former loading docks are blown open and filled with glass block in order to light up the apartment without sacrificing privacy. Huge swinging doors now open the bedrooms onto the common spaces, allowing residents to see all the way through the unit to the sunlit shapes of High Line visitors outside. Subtle changes in color and flooring material define a new dining space within the open living area.
